Application Engineering

CSN‘s Product Application Engineering supports its customers from the design, the steel specification and the manufacturing process.

It has expertise in managing co-engineering projects for creating value, while using latest generation tools (numerical, experimental and prototyping simulation). Inserted in the process of product development, these tools are essential to increase competitiveness and loyalty, developing solutions that fully meet the needs of customers.

CSN has been performing the Application Engineering of its products over the years, with numerous success stories that have generated value for customers and the entire Brazilian society.

With increased competition and the advent of new technologies for forecasting steel behavior in several manufacturing processes, CSN gathered all this expertise and directed it towards the establishment of a systemic methodology to create value through Product Application Engineering.

Via the Customers’ Portal, we offer the following services:

  • Consult bookings: Users can check the boarding reservation of their container.
  • Track container: Users can track their container on the Terminal‘s premises.
  • Consult ship schedule: Users can have a more dynamic access to schedules of the Terminal‘s ships.
  • Schedule container delivery: Users can schedule the day and time for delivery of their containers at the Terminal.
  • Schedule pickup: Users can schedule the day and time for pickup of their containers at the Terminal.
  • Schedule positioning (internal services): Users can schedule the day and time that their container will be positioned to check for damage and fumigation.

Hours of Operation

Customer service:

  • Delivery of container/cargo for export and cabotage: Cargo receipt will remain 24h (until 10 p.m.) from Monday through Friday, and on Saturdays from 12 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Pick up of container/cargo for import and cabotage: Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Readiness for export (cargo presence):
Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Long distance export (agency):
Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cabotage export (agency):
Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cargo bill:
Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cargo presence – nic:
Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
