TECAR, the CSN´s Coal terminal has been adapted to perform the operations of iron ore in bulk carriers with a capacity of up to 185.000 DWT. These adaptations means that:

» Construction of two storage yards with capacity of 2 million tons

» Construction of a new railway loop

» Assembly of two Stacker Reclaimers with capacity of 8.800 tons per hour each

» Assembly of one car dumper

» Assembly of one conveyor belt to 17.600 tons per hour

» Screening Plant to 1.500 tons per hour

» Shiploader to 17.600 tons per hour

» Bucket wheel with capacity of 5.000 tons per hour

In summary, the operations above will enable the TECAR to export 30 million iron ore tons per year.
