The Work Center of Camaçari is strategically located in the oil and automotive industrial region of Bahia State, at about 50 Km away from the city of Salvador, having access by Parafuso and BR 324 highways. The unit is installed in a plot of land of 12,000 m². Its sheltered area encompasses 10,000 m², with ease highway access to receive raw material from CSN’s Presidente Vargas Works, located in Volta Redonda. Now, Camaçari Work Center employs approximately 65 workers.
Its privileged location allows the Work Center to serve the entire market of steel consumers from the North/Northeast and Midwest regios with its products and services. It has an extensive and diversified inventory of coils and finished products, reaching a volume up to 10.000 tons, from which coils can represent 6.000 tons. The entire inventory is stored in a sheltered area. For the internal handling of products it is applied 12 overhead cranes with capacity ranging from 05 to 20 tons, serving the entire inventory area, as well as the region where industrial processing equipment is installed.

Raw material is mainly supplied to this unit by highway, which is also a way of dispatching the products, along with cabotage this time. Product distribution is done for the entire country, but focusing on Bahia and on the North and Northeast regions.
It works with third-party carrier companies, whose vehicles are proper for delivering products to customers at a short term basis. Whenever required, delivery services are also rendered at a just in time basis.
