The Automotive Market Unit trades hot rolled, cold rolled and galvanized steels from its service centers to produce blanks and welded blanks, serving clients in the automotive and auto-parts sectors.

Important to Brazil's economic environment, and seen as an indicator of its industrial progress, the automotive industry receives special attention from CSN in terms of technological investment, training and constant modernization of processes and plant.

One such investment in the automotive sector by CSN, is Galvasud for the production of galvanized steel. In addition to conventional galvanized products, this plant is equipped with slitting and blanking lines.

To better serve our clients, we have set up “just in time” delivery for certain assemblers, through branches located in Sao Paulo, Betim (MG-Minas Gerais) and Camaçari (BA-Bahia). By reducing lead-time of delivery, our clients receive improved service and reduce their stock levels.
