The lines in operation are very flexible, which allows for the painting of various metals, widths and gauges, as wells as using different painting systems on the same line.
The continuous process means that the steel will pass through various treatment and finishing stages before it is ready to be sent to the client.
Following this process the steel generally has the following composition:
Certain variations are also possible, such as substituting the topcoat with a film laminate, applying just the pre-treatment and primer, painting of non-galvanized steel and other variations too.
CSN's pre-painting line permits application of hot and cold rolled laminates, being both protective and decorative. It also facilitates the application of wax to help in stamping and forming; this should be of particular interest to the steel packaging segment.
As well as controlling the process, CSN has a laboratory specifically for analyzing the material as it comes off the line, guaranteeing that all of the characteristics of the material and quality standards specified by the client are being met.
