Constituted on the 26th of May 1998, is a unit specialized on the production of hot dip galvanized products its mix comprises the following products: Galvanneal – Fe-Zn alloy galvanized steel and Galvanized steel – Zn coated steel; both destined to internal and exposed parts. Its total investment has amounted US$ 236 million.
Located in Porto Real, in the southern region of Brazil, GalvaSud has started its operation in November 2000 and comprises the following production lines:

Hot dip galvanizing with a production capacity of 350 thousand tons/year;

Shearing Service Center, for flat steel products, with a production capacity of 160 thousand tons/year;
»
Laser Welding Center, with production capacity of 8 thousand tons/year.
Galvasud complies the demands of both domestic and foreign markets offering a variety of products such as: Hot dip galvanized coils; rectangular, trapezoidal and special shaped blanks and laser welded blanks assuring a high added value to its products.
Besides its products, GalvaSud also offers its clients a variety of services, of which the just-in-time delivery and its pre and post technical assistance shall be mentioned.
The process and product technology of GalvaSud, together with the high qualification of its technical staff are the key factors for its competitiveness on these important market segments.
